Exodus 26:1-27:21
God gave specific details. You can be assured that the Israelites did not do a shabby job. How many Christians do a shabby job at work, volunteering, etc.
Matthew 25:1-30
Matthew 25:1-13 There are different interpretations of this parable. Regardless of the interpretation, the main point is that we need to be ready.
Matthew 25:14-30 We need to be faithful with want God gives us.
Psalm 31:1-8
God will be on our side if we hate what he hates, vs 6
Proverbs 8:1-11
We should seek wisdom
I am asking all blog users to pray for this ministry. Yes, it is a ministry, not a business. Every month I have more expenses than income. Since our inception over 4-1/2 years ago, I have received approximately $200 income to cover several thousand dollars in expenses. Thank you to those who have donated or have had me do minor web work.
Along with expenses, there is time involved to keep this blog site functioning. I do my best to keep this site free of blogs that have advertising, pornography, etc. This requires me checking the site each day for violations of policy. Each day, I am removing blogs created by spammers.
Exodus 23:14-25:40
Exodus 23:20-24 What a promise-God will destroy all of Israels enemies if they will obey Him. Of course they did not obey Him. What about else? Many times the problems we have is because of our disobedience so God allows things to happen to us.
Exodus 23:25-31 Notice the promises required total obedience. God requires total obedience from us and He will give us the ability to obey. Yes, we will fall short, but if our heart is sincere, God's mercy and grace covers our shortcomings.
Exodus 23:32-33 This is why they were to totally destroy their enemies.
Exodus 24:3,7 The people had no idea what they were saying-they were making a covenant they could not keep because they were going to do it on their own strength.
Exodus 25:1-7 The contribution of these items to help build the sanctuary can be seen as a burden or a privilege. What is your mindset in regards to helping support ministry with your finances?
Exodus 25:8-40 God gave precise instructions on how to build the ark of the covenant. What if the people had said, 'it really don't matter'? God gives us precise instructions on how to live and how to treat our body and we say, 'it don't matter'. How dare us.
Exodus 21:22-23:13
Exodus 21 & 22 Some of these verses may not make sense to us and many certainly seem too harsh. When reading these verses we must read them in the context of the culture, the time in history, etc. They did not have a police force to provide order, there was no written penal code, no prosecuting and defense attorneys, etc. The hope was that the penalties were strict enough that people made right choices out of fear of the extreme consequences.
God only had what He had to work with at the time.
Exodus 23:1-9 Common sense type stuff.
Exodus 23:10-12 As much as most Christians want to ignore the fourth commandment, there was important reasons why God made it a commandment.
Exodus 17:8-19:15
Exodus 17:12-13 We should be supportive and helpful to ministers who are fighting for us spiritually.
Exodus 18:11 As we allow God to work in our life, others will see His hand and give Him glory.
Exodus 18:13-26 Jehtro gave good advice and Moses was humble enough to receive it and implement it. Too many times many of us reject godly counsel because of pride.
Exodus 19:8 One of the biggest mistakes the nation of Israel did. They made a vow they would not be able to keep, because they were going to try and obey God with their own strength.
Exodus 19:15 Why abstain from sexual intercourse. Maybe it was because God wanted them to stay focused on Him alone.
A long devotional today-there are some real good nuggets.
Exodus 15:19-17:7
Exodus 1522-24 The people see and praise God for the Red Sea miracle, but then they complain and think He is going to let them thirst to death in the desert. What kind of faith is this? What about your own level of faith?
Exodus 15:25-26 God uses the tough times in our life to test us (note He never tempts us, but He does test us). What a promise He gives them, be faithful and you will not have sickness. They have a greater promise than we do now. Yet, they at times missed out on this promise because of their unfaithfulness. God does not promise us we will not have sickness, but He does say if we have sickness we can be healed.
Exodus 15:27 God provides plenty of water. Think about it, they are complaining about water when it is just around the corner. God knows what we don't know.
Exodus 16:3 Once again the people are saying they do not trust God. Right after He had given them the promise of life with no sickness. We will find out later that the test of twice as much food on the sixth day is to test the people regarding the Sabbath.

I have not had Internet access, so was not able to send out devotionals for a couple of days.
Exodus 13:17-15:18
Exodus 13:17-18 God knew the people so He took them on the route that would be best for them. He also foreknew they would complain about the route He was taking them on. But he also foreknew the miracles He was going to do along the way. God knows us, so He takes us on the route that is best for us even though to us it seems like He does not know what He is doing. We just eed to remember He will some miracles along the way. So, why not trust Him with our entire life so we can receive the best from Him.
